Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: May 2026
Some links on Semstage are affiliate links. If you click one and purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These relationships do not determine which tools we recommend or how we describe them. We are transparent about this on every page where affiliate links appear.
What this disclosure covers
This page explains Semstage’s affiliate and partner link policies in full, as required by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) under its guidelines for endorsements and testimonials, and as required by affiliate program agreements Semstage participates in.
Semstage is an independent software review and comparison site. We earn revenue through affiliate commissions when readers click partner links and make a purchase.
How affiliate links work on this site
When you click a link on Semstage that points to a software product’s pricing page, free trial signup, or purchase page, that link may include a tracking parameter that identifies the click as coming from Semstage. If you complete a purchase or signup within the tracking window, Semstage may receive a commission from the vendor.
These commissions:
- Do not increase the price you pay. The cost of the product is the same whether you click through Semstage or go directly to the vendor’s site.
- Do not create an obligation for Semstage to recommend a product. A tool appearing on Semstage is not evidence that it has a partner relationship with us.
- Do not determine the ranking or outcome of any comparison page. Tools are ranked by use-case fit, pricing logic, workflow friction, and buyer value — not by commission rate.
Which affiliate programs Semstage participates in
Semstage works with affiliate programs for software products reviewed or compared on this site. These include, but are not limited to, programs operated directly by software vendors and through affiliate networks. The specific programs active at any time may change as Semstage’s coverage evolves.
Semstage does not accept undisclosed paid placements, sponsored rankings, or guaranteed positive coverage in exchange for partner relationships. If a vendor is included in a comparison, it is because it is relevant to the buyer’s decision — not because of a commercial arrangement.
Where affiliate links appear
Affiliate or partner links may appear on:
- Product review pages, where links point to the product’s pricing or signup page.
- Comparison pages, where links allow readers to visit each product being compared.
- Best-of and buying guide pages, where links allow readers to explore shortlisted tools.
- Deals pages, where links point to specific offers or trial signups.
Pages that contain affiliate links include a brief disclosure near the top of the content.
How affiliate relationships affect our editorial process
Our commitment to editorial independence
Affiliate revenue supports the operation of Semstage. It does not determine what we cover, how we rank tools, what tradeoffs we disclose, or whether we recommend alternatives. A tool with a high-payout affiliate program receives the same honest evaluation as a tool with no program at all.
If a tool has a serious weakness that matters for a given use case, we describe it clearly — regardless of whether that tool has a partner relationship with Semstage. If a cheaper or simpler option is the better fit for most readers at a given stage, we say so.
The full details of our review methodology are available on the How We Review page. Our editorial standards and independence policy are described in the Editorial Policy.
FTC compliance
This disclosure is provided in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255) and its guidelines on affiliate marketing disclosures. Semstage discloses material connections between editorial content and commercial relationships clearly and conspicuously.
If you have questions about this disclosure or believe a page on Semstage is not in compliance with these standards, please contact us.
